(Wednesday, January 27, 2016) – With the purpose of preserving and promoting the long-standing traditional values of Vietnamese Lunar New Year among young students, IEI English Club for the first time thoroughly explored the topic “Vietnamese Lunar New Year From The Perspectives of Foreigners” within the September 23rd Park, District 1, which attracted a large number of enthusiastic participants from IEI and many other universities in the area of Ho Chi Minh City.
Participants were extraordinarily excited to work in groups while meeting with international tourists around the park as their initial tasks were to make interviews and collect enough information required by the Organizing Board.
Undertaking interview activities, groups of participants were assigned to look for five foreign travellers, get engaged in face-to-face conversations, and gather essential information throughout the park. As could be observed, the event produced a wide range of communication opportunities and contributed to fostering students’ social network, sense of self-confidence, and effective teamwork skills that played a fairly crucial role in accelerating their daily academic outcomes and future success.
The event ended with a great deal of joy and impressiveness which could be seen as a rather special flavor during the event. We hope to welcome you again in the upcoming events of IEI English Club.
