(Monday, April 6, 2015) – With the purpose of enhancing the mutual understanding and exchanging educational information between Vietnam and Thailand in the context of ASEAN’s integration and economic development, a delegation of administrators and teachers from Benchamaratrungsarit (Ben) 2 School, Chachoengsao Province, Thailand paid a courtesy visit to Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City, International Education Institute (IEI) at Vo Thi Sau Campus in the atmosphere of friendliness, hospitality, and warmth.
Benchamaratrungsarit 2 School is in the provincial capital of Chacheongsao, Thailand. It is a public secondary school with 1900 students comprising grades seven to twelve. The school has an extremely popular English program where students study English, science, mathematics and computer science through English with foreign teachers.
As a warm greeting to members of the delegation, IEI students enthusiastically gave impressive musical performances which illustrated the beauty, charm, and elegance of Vietnamese girls in traditional “Áo dài”.

At the meeting, Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Tran, IEI’s Deputy Executive Director & Dean for Undergraduate and Graduate Programs began with a brief introduction on Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) and International Education Institute (IEI) by showcasing a video clip on the 20th Anniversary of VNU-HCM’s construction, development, and integration as well as presenting a comprehensive overview on a wide network of partner universities which have been working closely with IEI in the past several years.
As one of the long-standing affiliates of VNU-HCM, IEI has created a truly international study environment for thousands of undergraduate and graduate students in such majors as Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Computer Science. To be more specific, Ms. Tran Chau Lan, Head of Academic Affairs had a short summary of Undergraduate Cooperation Programs (UCP) which has given IEI the first rank in the number of students transferring to overseas universities annually. In addition, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat – Head of Student Services stimulated the delegation’s attention by summarizing useful extracurricular activities for students during their academic pathways at IEI.

On behalf of Ben 2 School, the administrator of English Programs also gave a short introduction on its campus, board of administrators, academic & student activities, and regional competitions & awards that has significantly contributed to the growth and prosperity of Chachoengsao Province.
As administrator of English Programs, Ms. Unruen Nuangjamnong (in traditional Vietnamese “Áo dài”) found it a pleasant opportunity to visit VNU-HCM, IEI this time with her close colleagues from various academic subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, Vocational Studies, Art and Physical Education
